Alternate History

Variation on my previous submission, same concept and using the same figures as a base, but altered to be more in the style of a song dynasty painting, with more period realism in the dress, and the machine - a watt steam engine. Creating the image involved controlnet style transfer at high resolution on individual sections, then hand editing. A copy of the description from the previous submission: During the Northern Song dynasty in China, the population and economy both saw rapid increases, and there was widespread production of iron and use of coal for fuel. If history had happened sufficiently differently up until and during that era, perhaps it could have seen the invention of the steam engine and the genesis of industrialization.
